The bottles comprised this work contain punched scraps of pages from the dictionaries of Chinese. The work is HUANG Yan's reactions to the consumerism entrenched in Chinese literature and language -- excessively consumed for social pleasure. To devise the medicines from the very embodiments of Chinese literature, HUANG Yan attempted to remedy the outrageous and unquestioned cultural consumption.
