Abstract
This summer I was tasked with cutting together an ethnographic documentary from a research trip I participated in in Japan (Tokyo area, Fukuoka). The anthropological research conducted by Kenyon College and Denison University followed Japan's refugees and asylum seekers and their migration process. We conducted interviews with willing participants about their struggles and experiences in Japan. The documentary highlights the unique system in place in Japan and the contextual zeitgeist that makes this topic timely and urgent.
