Abstract
The Universe is commonly known to have begun with a "Big Bang." However, this theory is still incomplete and yields several problems. One possible solution to these problems is inflation. Inflation is a period of exponential expansion in the early Universe, driven by the scalar inflaton field. For this project, I looked at a model of inflation called Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) Inflation. This model is different from the canonical model because it adds a non minimal kinetic term to the equation of motion (EOM). I developed GABE (Grid And Bubble Evolver) code in order to add my model of the inflaton field and evolve it through time.
