The Kenyon Reveille was first published in 1855 and as such holds the distinction of being the oldest continuing student publication at the College. Beginning life as more of a literary magazine, it eventually transformed into the College yearbook around the turn of the 20th Century.
With a run of over 150 years, there are several years when a Reveille was not produced for any number of reasons including war and lack of student interest. The missing years are as follows: 1896-1900, 1919, 1944-1946, 1954, 2004-2005, 2008-2009, and 2015-2021.
The Reveille was revived with a new edition in 2022.
Early editions of this publication contain language that is considered harmful or offensive. Especially in editions from the 19th century and early 20th century, you may encounter content such as inappropriate descriptions or appropriation of Native American cultures, blackface, or racial slurs.
