Description
Elaborate carving of pier in apse. Note the initials for Isabel and Ferdinand, monarchs whose tombs were planned for this church. San Juan de los Reyes, Toledo. The church and monastery, begun in 1477 and completed in 1504, mostly under the direction of the architect Juan Guas. One of the best examples of the Hispano-Flemish Gothic style.
