Reims Cathedral, jamb figures of the Annunciation and Visitation, south side of the central portal, 13th century, High Gothic sculpture, France. Annunciate Virgin is done in the Severe Style, while the Annunciate Angel (Gabriel) is done in the Courtly or Elegant Style by the Joseph Master. The figures from the Visitation are done in a Classicizing style.
