Description
Aerial view, San Juan de Duero, (aka San Juan Arcos de Duero). Former monastery of the Knights of Saint John, built in the 12th century with 13th century additions. Famous for the Islamic influence (note horseshoe arch) that have resulted from the experience of the Knights of St. John or, more likely, it reflects the considerable Islamic population of the region with connections to Toledo.
