Aug. 31, 1868
Rev. & dear Sir
I have rec’d today your note of Saturday. I expect to be at home all this week except such times as I may have to go to town. You will come & dine with me & let us know what day. The [omnibus] times at 10 Arthur & at 2 ½ P. M. leaving S. W. comes of Main & 4th but an hour before. Let me know the day before that I may be sure to be at home.
Don’t write me through the P.O. as generally I do not get such letters till the next day. But send a note to [care] of I. W. Ellis Esq First Natural Bank, who if sent before 4 P. M. will bring it out.
