The copy of the first is enclosed. He acknowledged that I had been correctly informed in substances. I have no copy of my answer. I received his letter in [?] Del. & answered, in so much of a hurry that I had no time to make a copy. I enclose his letter. In my answer, I confined myself to the matter of a non-episcopal member preach to his people, & said that I considered it forbidden by the Canon, & till lately had never heard of any other interpretations. [Frankly] of course he would see my [?], & I rely on him not to do so again.
I will make out as well as I can the Clergy list for French & when you get to [?] you can examine it, as I am not sure about [?] men or places.
