My dear Bishop
I am soon at Lord Carnarvon’s to whom I have communicated your kind disposition towards his brother for which he is much obliged to you. I was on the point of giving him a letter to you, when when I heard from Dr. Mosely that you were in Switzerland, & I then thought it would be no use.
We do not know whether he is at this moment in Canada or the United States but Lord Carnarvon will write to him & let him know that if he should find himself within reach of you he may take the liberty of presenting himself to you.
His name is The Hon Auberon Herbert. We shall be very glad if you are able to join us even the one day you suggest viz Monday Nov 7th. Please to let me know as soon as you are able to decide whenever we may expect you with your son and daughter on that day. We pray indeed I hope theres a chance of seeing Mrs. Hewson before that time, while she is at Winchester. I had heard with much sorrow of Bishop DeLancey’s illness.
Believe me My dear Bishop – Affectionately yours
William Heathcote
