My dear Bishop-
I have not recd a copy of the Journal, thence can not [impact?] the Reports to which you refer. The matters [describe?] consideration. The only instance in which a Rector has a right to remove a name from his list of Communicants without cause, is when the person cannot be found, having died or moved away + nothing known of them as to other connections. No communicant is suspended till the case has been reported to the ord[inary]. Of all the 24 cases of suspension I do not remember that more than one Rector has reported to me. When I get the Journal I will look into the individual cases. An article in the paper on the subject of the whole matter would be useful.
I send herewith a list of the [?] of [?] as you requested. Please send the enclosed to Mr. [Mormon]. How wonderfully the prospect of putting down the Rebellion has opened since July 1. God be praised.
Yours affly,
C.P. Mc.
