Description

Following the debate a banquet was given at Turner's restaurant in honor of the two teams. There was also present the chairman and judges of the evening, and several teachers of both high schools. After the banquet, Superintendent P.C. Zemer acted as toastmaster and toasts were responded to by Coach West on behalf of the Zanesville team and Mr. Dan Houck on behalf of the Mt. Vernon team. Short addresses were also made by three judges of the debate and by Hon. Lewis B. Houck.
