Clubs Contribute Twenty-Five Dollars Each To The Cause
Knox county is about to "go over the top" again, according to all indications. This time it will be with the county's quota of $2,500 for the war fund of the Y.W.C.A. Despite the fact that no work has been reported on from any part of the county outside of this city except at Fredericktown, the committee now has within $132.50 of the quota, according to Mrs. A. P. Tarr, chairman, Friday. Mrs. Tarr announced Friday that the committee was planning to cease operations in this city and prepare for a drive throughout the county as soon as the weather moderates and the roads become passable. Friday the two organizations of colored women, the Booker T. Washington club and the Twentieth Century club, each sent in contributions of $25.
