The Colored Women’s Glee club will reproduce the operetta, “In India” January 28 at 8 p. m. at the high school auditorium. Cast of Characters Meerah, soprano, poor and alone—Viola booker. Simla, soprano, the village pet—Gladys Hammond. How-now-Mezzo, the village scold—Ella H. Newsom. Veerah Mezzo, a beggar—Midge McGee. Hear No Evil, See No Evil, Speak No Evil, three old women from the temple—Bessie Newsom, Anna Turner, Zora Sites. Elephants—Gladys Johnson, Edna Johnson, Elizabeth Byrd, Gall Cunningham, Clara Mae Moten, Anna Sites, Marie Turner, Cella Burton, Bessie Payne Snake Dancer—Midge McGee assisted by Helen Blake, Roberta Blake, Marion Simmons, Aileen Simmons, Reba Williams, Perle Williams, Harriet Hall, Margaret Mayle, Mary Kelly, Endora Davis, Frances Newsom, Lyndell Myers.
