Dear Winthrop
I am surprise and somewhat alarmed that I have not heard from you [e’er] this, particularly at having seen papers directed to you so late as the 6th of March; but I hope and trust that long [e’er] this you have arrived in Safety.
I have not thought to write you a long letter at present, but hope to in a few days.
I merely want to say that are [acts] of [?] difficulty in ending on his share of Miller’s bill I have taken the money from him, and shall not send it until Scott goes which will be in 3 or 4 weeks. I wish you therefore instead of paying [Phebe] to pay Miller’s bill in full, if [Phebe] is not in want of it. And if she be to write on to me immediately. If you have not written be sure you write at [once] no change examinations are nearly through. [?] Lamb and [Moody] have been dismissed for going to [Vernon] getting drunk, entering the chapel on their return, and breaking down the pulpit.
Write if your home not,
Yours Truly
John Sandels
P.S. When you pray Miller get a reception full. When you with find [aut] the intact, and of Myers’ fill.
