Buffalo July 20th 1835
To the
Rt. Revd. Bishop Chase
My dear Sir
Since we parted this morning the two hundred dollars, placed in my hands for that purpose, have been deposited to the credit of the St. Louis Office for the use of the Revd. Saml Chase of Springfield Illinois. I have advised the Cashier of that office of the deposit[s], have notified Mr Chase & requested him to draw on the St Louis office in favor of the Cashier of the State Bank. This [mode] was suggested to you & has been adopted [or] [one] of entire security.
Hoping that you may have a pleasant & [profitable] [trip] thus your [deliberations] in [convention] may prove useful to the Church of God & thus I may have the pleasure of seeing you in Phila., I remain Dear Sir
