Dear Sir
I am much obliged to you for the perusal of Bishop Chase’s letter, & it is a satisfaction to know that very soon after he wrote it, he must have received letters from you & Lord Kenyon, as well as from me. The remittances of 100 [£]s will soon follow, & though it is but a drop in the bucket it will be something [chearing].
I had the pleasure to shew the Bishops letters to [Mr] [Cresson], who has just left us. I should have supposed the law of the case to be as you state it.
My sister desires her kind remembrance. We are very sorry any thing should occur to bring back poor [Miss] Dykes sufferings, but I hope they will not return a second time. Believe me dear Sir
yours sincerely
Bexley
G.W. Marriott Esq
