Dec. 30th 1816
Dear George,
I must trouble you to hand the enclosed to [Dust] Smith if he should still be at N. Haven; or if he has left that place; please to forward it to him. Letters from your Aunt Olivia have [?] from Randolph dated 20th [?]. All were then well. She [expresses] much affection for you and anxiety for your health a happiness, but apologises for her not having yet written you in answer to Sunday letters she has received from you, begs that you would excuse her, and [openes] that she will write you before long. How is your [Hund] Father and others at Hartford? --
