2 oclock in the morning
My dear Wife
I have just re’d two letters from Br Dudley of the U.S Senate, and thinking you wd. like to read them I now inclose them for your perusal
I am better: tho’ deprived of my sleep: I get naps it is true in my chair and sometimes by a few moments in bed: but I wake up in distress, & so it does me but little good.
I am still confident that if the Lord will I shall set off for home on the 12th of April 1831
