Dear Sir,
By advice which Bishop Chase has this morning received, it appears the funded property belonging to the College cannot be disposed of on the resolution passed at the last special meeting of the board of trustees. The Bishop directs me to forward you the enclosed, and request your signing it; a similar paper has been transmitted to the other members of the meeting.
I remain, Dear Sir, respectfully yours
[JwP.] McElroy
N.B. please return the enclosed as soon as may be and as Bishop will be about direct to me
