Very Dear Lord Bishop of Salisbury
I beg leave to send for your Lordship’s inspection, the printed papers which accompany this: and with them the assurance of my own perfect health and, when I left Ohio about three weeks ago, that of your nephew at Kenyon College. No doubt this worthy relative of your Lordship’s has communicated from time to time much more & minuter intelligence concerning our Institution, than I can: but one thing he could not have described sufficiently, the feelings of esteem and gratitude with which I have the honour to be
