Blaise Castle
June 29 1824
Dear Sir
My friend Sir Thomas Acland has written to request that I could find you out upon your arrival in Bristol, and endeavour to promote the excellent object which brings you here.
He has also [intended] to make an engagement for you, which I trust you will be ready to confirm of [dining] with me at this place on Thursday at six o’clock; The Dean of Bristol, and Lord William Somerset one of our [?], are to be my guests upon that day, and it may perhaps further your [view] here to meet them
As soon as I hear of your arrival, I shall not fail to pay my respects to you, and I beg you will [allow] the favor of taking a bed here on Thursday night.
