My Dear Lord Kenyon,
Once more I beg leave to trouble your Lordship for a frank.
I am happy to [state that] my reception at this university has, thus far, exceeded my deserts or expectations. I dined at Trinity Hall on the 29th and was most happy. On Wednesday next. I am to have the honour of dining with the Vice Chancellor. Ever most faithfully your Lordship’s grateful and obedient servant.
