How can I, or need I apologise for sending you the inclosed Extract? Pray read it; and you will see why I can’t excuse myself in neglecting one whom I so tenderly love, when calling my true friends to a feast of doing good to the Church of God in this and all coming ages
They have offered to compromise for $3,200. This (not the tithe of it) I can not pay and be honest with my real creditors.
Read the Extract which I have copied for your inspection and much oblige
Your faith and affectionate friend Phi’r Chase
