Respected & dear Sir
Your favor of May 22 with many others from numerous correspondents is before me now upon my return from Convention
You inclose Three Dollars for the “Motto;” two from your-self, & one from Miss Lucretia Mr [Sean].
I am pleased to hear of your exertions in building a Church edifice and hope that they may be crowned with a blessing. Should I be spared I hope to be able to fulfil your wishes to make you a visit in the fall when your Church will be ready for consecration.
I remember with great pleasure former visits in your family & hope again to share your hospitalities.
I need your prayers and most of all these true Servants of Christ who wish to uphold the hands of their Bishop in planting & extending his Kingdom of “righteousness space” in this Diocese.
I must heartily return the kind wishes of numbers of your family & pray for blessings on you all.
Yours truly
Philand’r Chase
(PS Another No of [the] Motto is in preparation)
