Dear Sister Rachel:
Your letter on the same sheet which contains the precious words of your loved Daughter R. and your much respected Husband Dr. Denison, has been the rounds in our family till on its coming back to me I fancy it quite new & enjoy it over again.
You remember how our hon’d Father used to laugh at his forgetfulness in reading night thoughts. “It seems all new to me,” he said “and now I am old I can enjoy it as if it fresh from the press” 00 It is even so with your dear letters -- every time I read them over they seem new to me.
Our 3d No of the Motto is now in press -- you’ll receive it. The contents tho’ treating of that old subject which I trust has always been near your heart may have also the charm of Novelty because they come fresh from the pen of your
Most affectionate & loving Brother
