My dearest Bishop
I will not send the [enclosed] without mentioning that I heard yesterday from good Adam Hodgson of Liverpool who writes “The £100 (that is of Lady Rosse) I requested the Bank of Liverpool to request Sands & Co of New York to pay to Bishop Chase of his application to one of the partners”
He adds that you may apply thro’ him to the Bank of Liverpool to pay it in London & [?] such [be] you wish. He says further [how] truly he rejoices at my favourable [report] of you. He is an excellent man & truly attached to you & your Xtian cause [in] [?]. [?] [new] wean so fast I shall hope to see you in London in about six weeks. In the mean time I hope you will be [?] well. I hope to have another night of my venerable Aunt before I [come] from these parts. She is the same in heart & affection as ever but very blind & deaf. Ever My dearest Bishop your most affect’e friend
