Dear Brother
I am well and doing well: how are you? Pray drop me a line addressed to me “P.M. Robins Nest ILL now at Phila[delphia] care of Paul Beck Eqs!! In this “City Phil[adelphia]” I expect to be if it please God Sunday after next.
I preached last Sunday in Washington 3 times on Monday now at Bladensburg and in the evening at Georgetown. I came to this place on this day [and] preached on Wednesday in the Epsic[opal] Church.
I set off in a few minutes for Baltimore where (D.V.) I shall preach next Sunday.
My reception everywhere is one of great kindness and respect. Where the event will be is not to be seen now. All promise to [support] Jubilee College by their yearly offerings in time to come. We now have on the [?] nearly $10,000 besides the S. Carolina Professorship which is $10,000 more.
Best love to all your loving brother
Philander
