Richmond Va 16 June
Dr. Sir
I re[ceived] in time yr. Letter on the 7th inl. With the inclosed from Ms. Marriot of Wimbledon and most heartily thank you for your kindness.
I wrote immediately a letter of grateful acknowledgements to Ms. M. and her daughter and sent the draft [pay]able to you to Benja[min] W. Chase my nephew in Phil[adelphia].
Wishing you health and happiness for many years, and a place among the blessed when you die, I have known to subscribe myself.
