Transcript
The Editor of the Record presents respectful compliments to Bishop Chase. He finds from the Bishops note, left at the Office, that he wishes for an interview with the Editor. The latter sincerely knows how he can have [real] honour & pleasure, as under the Editorial character he is a sort of impalpable & invisible being. But if the Bishop would have the goodness to transmit to the office any communication for the Editor it would meet with every consideration. The Editor, agreeably to the Bishop’s request, returns enclosed Mrs. Lyndale’s letter.
