A picture which clearly illustrates the "other side" of the story in Memel. A Jewish refugee family walks through the cobbled streets of the town as uniformed Nazis in the background laugh and jeer at their misery. While Memel citizens were celebrating the return of the territory to the Reich, thousands of Jews fled in terror to Lithuania."
