Abstract
Roman floor mosaic in the Volubilis. -AS
Description
The seventh labor in the “Labors of Hercules” mosaic program is Hercules wrestling with the Cretan Bull. In the myth, Hercules captures the Bull in Minoan Crete and ships it to Tiryns. The slayed Nimean lion (the first of the twelve labors) is illustrated on the periphery. -CK
