Abstract

A pointed arch beneath a rectangular panel in Chefchaouen, Morocco. -MA

Description

Chefchaouen is a popular tourist destination in Morocco, primarily because of its many buildings which are shaded in blue, like the one shown in this image. This is why Chefchaouen is also sometimes referred to as the Blue City or the Blue Pearl. Its narrow, stepped streets, bathed in blue color and cutting through the residential and commercial sectors of the city create a mystical aura for the viewer passing through them. -MA
