Abstract
Interior view of the Eşrefoğlu Mosque (Camii in Turkish), commissioned by the Eşrefoğulları family in the 13th century.
Description
The Esrefoglu Camii dates from 1298 containing a unique wooden interior with fifty wooden columns capped with stalactite capitals. The wooden elements are characteristic of Seljuk architecture. The complex contains a tomb, caravanserai (inn), and a traditional Turkish bath. -CK
