Abstract
The synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca, dating to 1180, is one of the oldest synagogues in Europe. It was built by Moorish architects for Jewish patrons and is thus an example of Mudejar architecture. The influence is visible in the horseshoe arches.

Curator Notes
This slide has the crossed out title "Cordoba". It is also an Ektachrome transparency, a separate Kodak brand from Kodachrome, which composes the vast majority of the collection. The two film types differ in their color compounds and thus present different color balances and fading patterns.
