Description

The Pitti Palace—a former Medici dwelling—houses a vast collection of Renaissance treasures. Six museums contain masterworks by Caravaggio, Raphael, and Titian, as well as a priceless collection of costumes, furniture, and carriages.

The Fratelli Alinari photographed private art collections, residences, and public monuments, and have become well known for their beautifully composed touristic views. This image... emphasizes the elegant geometry of the facade and piazza if Pitti Palace.
