Description

Depiction of Mary Magdalene praying. Influenced by Italian works.

Mary Magdalen is centered in profile, hands raised in prayer as she looks up towards a cross in the upper left corner. An arch extends partway over her from the upper right corner. Evidence of gilding can be seen on the inner edges of the frame as well as in Magdalen's hair and robes, which also show remnants of red pigment.
