Description
A 16th Century High relief wood carving showing the Baptism of Christ. John the Baptist pours water from a shell on Jesus's head as he kneels in the River Jordan. An angel stands behind Christ observing as the Holy Dove descends towards Jesus's head. God the Father is shown watching the scene from above accompanied by a mass of swirling clouds.
