    Description

    A denarius from the era of Gordian III. Marked on obverse with "IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG.," with Gordian pictured draped, and cuirassed. On the reverse Jupiter stands holding a thunderbolt and with a scepter set on the ground. Marked "IOVIS STATOR" on reverse.
