Description

This Chicago world fair souvenir coins is celebrating the city’s centennial, and it depicts the Century of Progress logo which Saturn swirling in space. To the top left of the image, the year 1833 is inscribed. To the bottom right is the year 1933. Just below the year 1833, the coin has been pierced, which was likely done by the owner to attach it to something. Centered below the image, the coins reads: “A Century of Progress” as well as locating the centennial celebration in Chicago. At the bottom edge of the coin, the creator, Green Duck Company is identified.

On the reverse of the medal, there is a birds-eye view of the Century of Progress Fair which was set up on the shore of Lake Michigan. In this image of the fair, the lagoon as well as various rides can be seen depicted.
