Condition
as of 11/11/24: The obverse of this coin, around the inscription, has oxidized and become darker. The upper half and outer edges of the reverse have oxidized as well. The details of inscription on the obverse remain in good condition, with all details of the bust's face and costume legible. The image on the reverse of the coin remains in good condition, but the letter inscription has been blurred through handling, particularly above the victory being handed to the emperor.

Description
The obverse of this coin depicts a right-facing bust of Maximinus wearing a radiate crown and cuirass (upper body armor) covered in a draped garment. The reverse of this coin depicts Maximinus standing on the right, being handed a small Victory on a globe by the deity Jupiter, standing left. Jupiter leans on a scepter with his left hand. Maximinus is draped and cuirassed as on the obverse.
