This work was a gift to Judith Rosenbloom Blick. She wrote to him when she was doing research on her Master's thesis on contemporary Chinese art at (Radcliffe, later Harvard) and he replied and included this small painting.

Creator Biography
David Kwok (aka David Kuo Ta-wei / Guo Dawei) (Chinese, 1919-2003) became popular in the United States during the later 1950s for his lithographs after brush paintings he did of his cats. Born in Beijing, 1919, he studied art at the Art Institute of Nanjing and then under Qi Bai-Shih. He exhibited in museums worldwide in the US, Europe and Asia. He died in the United States in 2003.
