The A medio camino newspaper is intended to empower Spanish speaking voices on campus, and to motivate Spanish language learners and students interested in issues that affect the Latino community. The published content will be written solely by students and will include three main sections: news and opinion articles regarding the Hispanic population in the US, articles and interviews about the Kenyon and the Knox county community, and original creative writing.
It shall be the purpose of A medio camino to connect to the Spanish-speaking community at Kenyon, and to inform the local community about news stories relating Hispanic issues. This newspaper will also help maintain and improve students’ Spanish skills by both writing and reading various articles, and by bringing light to the Spanish language both inside and outside of the classroom. Finally, A Medio Camino will foster cultural and linguistic diversity at Kenyon College.
