Description
The artwork titled “1997” was created by the artist Wei Guangqing in the year of 1994. Black and white are the dominant colors of this painting. To the right part of it, the artist painted a Chinese woman sitting on a chair and looking ahead; to the left part of the painting, a huge “1997” is painted in black at the center. Besides, some abstract strokes and figures are painted in the background. One British flag can be recognized at the top left corner of this painting. See link below for the back of this photograph.
