Description

The inspiration of this work has at times been deemed as absurd or comic. A while before the work's creation, Wang Jin's wife was studying abroad in the United States. Hoping to visit his wife for a while, Wang applied for a visitor visa to the US. However, the eight attempts of application all failed, and so did Wang's marriage. In this artwork, Wang posed to marry a mule, of which was femininely dressed in a bridal manner. The mule in picture might be Wang's critique on the stubborn bureaucracy of US's immigration office.
