Description

From April 8 to 25, 1994, HUANG Yan traveled south to Beijing, Nanjing, Suzhou, and Shanghai. During the trip, HUANG recorded many appealing encounters he made, of which later became the materials he printed on the back of airline company envelops and shipped to elsewhere within China. This work is a paragon of HUANG Yan's "posting art" -- art that is shipped with national posting service. To engage artworks with Chinese posting service, HUANG Yan surveys the uniformity and regulation of the national posting office, along with other extendingly implied social systems (HUANG, Artwork Introduction: Chinese Traditional Medicine, available on ZHOU Document) (Jerry Wu'23).
