Johannisstrasse. / Handwritten: July 24, 1905. Maverstrasse 3, Germany. Dear Canon Watson, Can thankfully say that I am at my destination at-last after long wandering. I went down to South German on business for a friend & have only today come to a place of rest. It is that indeed for 3 swallows have their nest on my windowsill. We hope that you are tonight-near that place where 'the swalls & the sparrow' found a good home, & we hopoe you are well and happy & will have a safe & sure return. Gilber-Symous.
