Description
090- A view of the Sabil Bab al-Silsila, near the Bab al-Silsila gate. It was among the many sabils (water fountain) commissioned by the Sultan Sulayman in the 16th century, and is dated 1537 AD. It consists of a recessed niche framed by a pointed arch. Just inside it is another arch made of a zig-zag pattern. The arches frame within them a rosette, below which is an inscription in Arabic.
