Description
A view of the northern Haram platform seen from the west, depicting, from left to right, the Ghawanima Minaret (A.67), the Dome of the Prophet's Lovers, the Sebil of Sultan Suleiman, and King Faisal's Gate. The Dome of the Prophet's Lovers was constructed in 1818 by Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II, and is named for the Sufi sheiks that would gather there for prayers. The Sebil dates to 1541 and is named for Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.
