Description
037- Another secondary structure on the Haram area, the Qubbat al-Arwah is located in the northwest corner of the raised platform on which sits the Dome of the Rock. The “Dome of the Spirits” is supposed to be the place where the resurrected souls will be summoned on the Last Day. The date of the building is unknown, though it must be prior to 1628 and therefore to Ottoman times when the first written reference to it is made.
